The Flagstaff Mountain Film Festival is a fantastic display of environmentally-aware, socially-conscious, non-fiction cinematic masterpieces. Celebrating its 10th anniversary, the festival is being held Oct. 9-13 at the historic Orpheum Theater. This volunteer-run event is a great escape from mainstream films and an opportunity to experience other cultures through outdoor-adventure documentaries.
The five-day festival brings some of the greatest and most innovative filmmakers to Flagstaff and showcases work from students looking to make a difference. Films from previous years of the Flagstaff Mountain Film Festival have won awards at other festivals, including the Academy Awards.
